The main reason why I started building Media Centres based in Open Source Software is because I want to use the hardware I pay for the way I want to, not the way hardware manufacturers want me to. Open Source Software gives you that power and freedom!

Some of the information of this website has been customised for Australia, in particular Brisbane since that's where I live.

I have named the media centres after the case they are using. The hardware sections might explain how to make certain pieces of hardware work in Linux. The software sections explain how to install Linux and MythTV.
